Fun Bubbles

Hey Everyone!

I promised a post on bubbles. I love playing with bubbles. In science club at my old school I learned about surface tension using bubbles. You can put a bubble on any surface as long as it is covered in solution. The bubble does not know that it isn't part of the bubble so the bubble just goes there. I spent all day making bubbles go where I want them too.

My next bubble project is big bubbles. Check out this video I found on you tube. They have great science and a how-to to make big bubbles http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9ASVgO9U6k I can't wait to try it myself.

We are still working hard to earn books! I was busy with Spring Break but  haven't given up.

Read For My School: Day 5

Hey Viewers!!

My school is up to 63 books.  I am so happy!

I promised a new book review and here it is. I found the best book. It is all about Dr. Seuss.

It was really long so Mom finished it. Even Dad enjoyed listening to her read to us. I really liked the story. Dr Seuss had a fun family when he was a kid. He didn't always get along with them but I think he really loved them. I didn't know that he worked in advertising. I thought he was only an author. I really liked reading about how he worked on his stories. If it was hard for him to come up with a story and get it all out, then I think it is okay if it is hard for me.

Dr. Seuss books are fun and I love the way my mom reads them to me. She says she learned how from her mom. She died before I was born but mom says that we would have been best friends. You can see Mom and me reading Green Eggs and Ham for Dr. Seuss's birthday. http://lianssummeroffun.blogspot.com/2013/03/happy-birthday-dr-suess.html

Read for my School: Day 4

Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so excited. Each school has to earn at least 25 books to get any books. Today we passed that. My school is going to get some new books from we Give Books and Leap Frog. I loved leap frog when I was little.

Thank you so much to whoever else is reading books for our school. There is no way I can do it by myself. I really want us to get all of the books and maybe a visit from the book mobile. I have never seen a book mobile.

I also want to thank Mom for making a post yesterday. And I want to thank We give Books too. On their Pinterest board they say my blog is a blog they love. That is so terrific.

Keep on reading People!

Read For My School: Day 3 (Guest Post)

Hey Viewers!

Lian is feeling under the weather today, so Mom is doing a guest post to keep him on track. He didn't feel much like reading but he did enjoy listening to a story or two.  We made an exciting discovery. WGB.org can be accessed from the browser on the Playstation 3. While playing layabout, Lian enjoyed WGB on the TV rather than the computer. He has gotten a few people to pledge to help us read. Lian really wants to earn the books for his new school. His dad and I are certainly going to do our part to help.

We'll keep posting updates and Lian promises to make video book reviews while he is out on Spring Break. That is my favorite part!!

There is still time to sign up to earn books for your school. Over 82, 000 books have already been read for this program. That is a lot of kids, and their families, doing their part for their schools!!

Read For My School: Day 2

It is day 2 and I got some help, so now we have 8 books. I am going to need lots of help if we are going to earn 250 books. Today I read a book about dinosaurs. It was great. It was for littler kids than me but the art was fantastic and there were lots of great facts. I will do a new video review this weekend but for now you can hear about my favorite book review at this link Making School Fun w/ Lian Nathaniel: We Give Books: Shark Attack

Get Free Books For Your School

Hey Viewers!
Usually We give Books .com gives books to charities when you read them online.
Making School Fun w/ Lian Nathaniel: Reading For Charity and Fun

Until April 5 you can get books for your school. Each school can get over 200 books if they work hard enough.

I already have 3 for my school but with homework it is real hard to read them all. I know I will do my best. But, Mom will only let me post book videos on the weekend because she says homework is more important.

My Old New School

I had to change schools because the one I was at didn't have the right programs for me. I really miss it and I want to go back, but I am excited to be in a new school.

It is really an old school though. It was built in 1927. It has such pretty buildings and concrete. My dad went to this school when he was my age. It was really old then too.

I met my new teacher today. Her name is Miss Smith. She is really nice and her classroom is really neat. There are lots of great kids in my class too. My new friend from down the street goes to this school too and we got to play together at lunch. The best part is pizza and salad for lunch every day!!

When I saw my classroom door, for the first time, there was a huge picture of The Cat in The Hat and this class uses the same math book as my other school and I got an A on my first test!! I think I am going to fit right in, once I get caught up. They started school a month before my last school, so I am kind of behind, but it means I get out of school a month earlier than I was going to.

I am still going to blog about school. I have a big social studies project due soon. I can't wait to show that off.  I have also changed my blog colors for the new school.

note: I got the photo of my new school from the district website. I would give a link to it but Mom says I shouldn't tell where my new school is on my blog. I just wanted to give credit for the picture.

If You Live in Mountain View CA...

http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:CAMap-doton-Mountain_View.png

It would be terrific if you left me a comment and told me something about yourself. It's easy to leave anonymous comments even.

My blog has been viewed in Mountain View three times as many times as the next most frequent city visiting my blog (if you don't count my family!). People visit me from Mountain View even when I don't post. I would love to know more about these people and what they would like to read about.

I Am Back!

It has been a while since I last blogged but I haven't given up on the blog. I am going to try to post at least once a week. Lots has changed. I have moved and I am going to a new school soon. I will still blog about school being fun or about my new projects.

My newest project is making fun videos. I like messing with the effects. Including playing them backwards or faster to make them look like I am doing super human things. I am getting practice editing them as well. Here is my favorite right now. I will more on You Tube Channel as I finish them. You can find them in the widget at the top of the page.
