Charged Particles: Drummer Jon Krosnick
Tonight, I uploaded the first in a series of three video interviews with the band Charged Particles, this one with drummer Jon Krosnic. They are spectacular musicians and I really enjoyed their show and talking with them about music. My mom is always telling my dad how much she doesn't like jazz music but this band made her like it. They are on Facebook too: https://www.facebook.com/charged.particles

Corona Public Library : Glue and Go Workshop
Hey Viewers!
Tonight we went to the Corona Public Library. I love going to the library. There was a costume workshop. A nice lady name Holly Cleeland showed us how to make costumes with stuff around the house. It was really cool. At the end there was a raffle and I won a costume. I got to be a lobster. Thanks to both Miss Holly and the Corona Public Library

Pioneer Living
Hey viewers!
Last week Pioneer Living Traveling Museum had an assembly at our school. We got to see all kinds of real pioneer things and try to do things like pan for gold, shave. I will post a video in the next couple of days but here are some fun pictures from the two days. You can see more pictures HERE on the blog's Facebook page
Reminder: October 9, 2013 is the McTeacher fundraiser at McDonald's in Corona. The money our PTA raises pays for more assemblies like this one.

Power of the PAW: Literacy Workshop
Hey Viewers!
My school had a literacy workshop and BBQ lunch. It was fun. I got to get out of class for a while and Mrs. G Rogers showed us some slides that showed how kids who read do better in school and then we read out loud to our parents. Then I got to have lunch with my mom. It took a while because they ran out of burgers but it was really good. Mom showed me how to make thousand island dressing for my salad. I would do it again.

Power of the PAW: Mrs. Sherman
Hey Viewers!
I had a super week. I got to interview some people and finish up projects I have been working on. One of these is my interview with Mrs. Sherman, my school librarian.
First off it was really hard to schedule this interview. She is super busy with projects for school, helping out in the community and PTA. It is good she works in a library because she is always double booked.
I want to interview as many Jefferson Staff as I can and I think Mrs. Sherman is the best person to go first. She is the one person that every student sees during the week and she does so much for all of us. I really enjoyed interviewing her. She is energetic, inspiring, always in a project, and just plain awesome. I hope you enjoy it too.

Be the Power of the PAW~ Fundraising
Hey Viewers!
On Thursday my school had a fundraiser at Chick fil A. It was so much fun. I got to see teachers busing tables and getting drinks. There was a prize wheel and they gave coupons for free sandwiches and prizes. There were a lot of Jefferson students and their families. You can see the pictures from the fundraiser HERE and HERE
We get to do another fundraiser next month. I can't wait. It is so much fun watching how the teachers are when they aren't in school. Plus all the money will help us with assemblies, equipment and field-trips! Everyone should come out to McTeachers Night

Corona Grand Race
Hey Viewers,
On Saturday, September 14, Mom took me to see the Grand Race Victory Lap. It celebrated the one hundredth anniversary of the Corona races. My dad showed me where the race track was on the map at the library. It was fun to see race cars on the road. I wanted to go to City Park for the rest, afterwards, but my mom was really sick. I saw pictures though and it looked like everyone had real fun. I love all the fun stuff we get to do in Corona. Because our cameras are still messed up our video wasn't the best, but we came up with a fun way to use it.

Power of the PAW- Patriot Day
Hello Viewers!
Yesterday was September 11. We had a great assembly all about patriotism at my school. There were fire and police there and even ROTC from the high schools. It is important to remember the people who keep us safe everyday. Early in the morning Mrs. Sherman and her helpers put up five hundred flags. A bunch of us stayed after to school to help take them down and fold them up.
